It's Raining, it's flooding, the old man is sand-bagging...

A new water feature at our park. A fantastic water slide into a rushing river (click to listen)
Here comes some more

A views out our basement window (click to hear this one too)

I don't want anyone to think that I'm making fun or not understanding the gravity of the situation. The downtown is flooded for blocks and the damage is staggering. Please keep our community in your prayers as the water won't be cresting until sometime tomorrow and we are now under a tornado watch until 8 pm.

YIKES! I've only been to your home once and I don't remember seeing that water feature!! We'll be keeping you in our prayers. I keep thinking of your sister ... praying she makes it to the hospital!!!

She should be able to make it to either hospital although her 1st choice currently is sandbagging to keep water from their doors. Both of the local hospitals are functioning with generators that can run for 6 days although one had to send for a big boiler so they could have hot water and they cancelled all non-emergent surgeries too.

Yeah, this is crazy. Ice storms, blizzards, rain storms, floods, are we in some kind of crazy NASA weather experiment?
