Space Shuttle / Tupperware Cupboard
It's been one of those days today. No outside playing or trips to the park or pool due to rain.
My house looks like their were 200 kids here today, not just my 2 but instead of cleaning it up I'm blogging about it.
Post-nap Bubba ransacked my tupperware cupboard to create his space shuttle

Later on he decided his sister might want to head to outer space too. I was happy to let them blast off since it allowed me the chance to create a little supper.
Even though SBG isn't really playing with him, he thinks she is and she finds him highly entertaining.

Cherishing the Lasts
I read an article from MOPS about how as moms we always celebrate and document so carefully the "firsts" in the lives of our precious kids - teeth, haircuts, steps to name a few. The author posed the idea of appreciating each moment and some how catching each of their "lasts" too. I cried as I read her list of "lasts" that she wanted to capture forever either on film or in her memory - the last time you rock your baby to sleep, the last time your child wants to hold your hand as you walk through the mall, the last time he calls you mama or mommy instead of the grown-up mom version, etc.
So here's one" last" I decided to document - SBG's last ride in her infant seat. Her chubber legs have been way too long for months but now that here head is a fraction of an inch from the edge I decided to make the move. So much for naps in the grocery store.

Swinging Sister and the 911 Crew
Hi Mamamamamamama
Check out my "long & leans"
and my smiley swinging face
My girl cousin loved pushing me with Papa's special one finger technique
Bubba and Mia came up with a great game a few weeks ago - their version of Rescue 911. Rescue vehicles have included trikes, dump trucks, and in this case a stroller. They've even played a version of it at the pool with Mia pretending to be drowning and Bubba starring as the self-titled "LifeSaver" :) complete with a blue inner tube to drag her to safety. In this adventure Mia plays the victim trapped on the play equipment and Bubba saves her with his fire engine aka stroller. Thank goodness for Handicap-accessible play equipment otherwise I don't know what the rescue man would have done.

A Week of Pics
Bubba got a great spot to view the 4th of July race.
In the afternoon, he chewed his first piece of gum which, even though we emphasized the importance of spitting it out, ended up "in my tummy Daddy".
Here's SBG posing with her buddy Charlie.
