Outfit from the Wallaces

We had to do a quick pose on the way to church this morning. Sister's attire is courtesy of Mikele and perfect for our 23 below zero windchill this morning! Thanks Wallaces!

A Freezing Friday

On a chilly Friday in January I decided we needed an outing.

First stop was StoryTime at the public library. After the stories, Clifford the Big Red Dog stopped by and Hank took off running to be the first one to give him a "High-5".

Then we headed to the play area at the mall. So I should post a picture of Bubba having fun playing but instead I'm choosing to post a shot of a crazy mother. This woman carried a black spatula around as a discipline threat to her kids. Here's the proof!

A happier shot of Haddie & I hanging out at the play area and one of Hank riding the boat.During a quick GAP stop, Bubba spilled a huge cup of ice water all over his shirt and clothes. With no spare outfit we had no choice but to strip him down and just put his coat on. Needless to say he was not very happy.

This last shot is an inside joke for my friend Tara - what do you think of this "sleep prop"?

Our Week in Review

Last Friday we had a long overdue playdate with our great friends - Tara, Diddy & Polly :) Here are Bubba & Diddy doing their Dueling "Pan-yo's" ... and Sister & Polly doing the only thing they can do at 6 & 4 weeks respectively.
On Saturday was the infamous "PheasantFest" in Des Moines where 30,000 pheasant hunters come to check out the latest and greatest gear including dogs. We took Bubba down for a few hours and Thad made sure he got to pet as many puppies as possible. Here is Bubba with a puppy version of our Rexie dog.

Later in the weekend Baby Sister modeled her first pair of GAP jeans with her pink hair bow. Then we headed to our friends, the Stutts, for dinner. Here are their sweet girls with our sweet girl.
This morning Bubba modeled his new Thomas jammers.

MLK Snow Day Part 2

Bubba and his Daddy headed outside to "enjoy" the windy, snowy day while Little Sister and I held down the fort. Here they are bundled and ready... for shoveling and... a little trek through the back yard.

The First Almost Kindof Snow

Yesterday it kind of snowed. It was more like sleet but it sure did look wintery while it lasted. Can you hear it coming down?

Our Sweet Baby Girl

Her first bath in her "big girl" tub! Hank wanted to hold her hand because he said she looked sad.

This pic reminded me of Hank's birth announcement picture - big cheeks and some said he looked like we were squeezing him too tight!

Check out that peaceful sleepy smile in the Moses basket. Guess she likes it.
Nanny tried her best to get a smile on camera but this is all we got. We'll try again soon.

Back on the BlogWagon

After an almost 3 week hiatus, I am back on the BlogWagon but I'm not going to try to catch you all up on everything. I'll just refer you to my sister's blog to get a great family Christmas review and I'll start from today and vow to try to stay caught up.
Today I'm posting a few cute kid shots. Bubba is enthralled with all things cars right now. Yesterday he made a "track" (a roll of TP) in the living room and vegged out on his new CARS chair bed. Today - Friday, January 5th is Baby Sister's one month birthday. Here she is on her special pink cuddly blankey from the Murrays :)
